SUTTER CREEK ELEMENTARY

Sutter Creek Elementary School consists of two campuses: the primary campus for transitional kindergarten through second grade and the upper campus for third grade through sixth grade. We are located in beautiful Sutter Creek in Amador County, a part of the picturesque Mother Lode. The two schools serve the student population of Sutter Creek and outlying areas.

We currently operate on a modified traditional calendar. Our curriculum has a strong academic focus. We respect individual differences. We believe in unlocking and supporting the strength of each child. To complement our academic emphasis, we believe that all students benefit from a variety of experiences, including but not limited to art, music, physical education, and performing arts. A well-developed student recognition program contributes to the positive environment of the school. Students are recognized for achievements in academics, life skills, and being good citizens.

Meet the Principal

Tia Peters

Thank you for taking the time to visit the Sutter Creek Elementary School website. We take pride in the high-quality education we provide for each of our students, and in the positive school climate present on our two campuses. I am honored to be serving as the Principal of one remarkable TK-6 school program, residing on two campuses. We are located in the heart of our wonderful Sutter Creek community which embraces our outstanding students, expert staff, supportive parents, and involved community members.

When you visit our two campuses, I am sure you will agree that a sense of caring and high expectations is evident. Our staff is dedicated to working together, and their commitment to student success is what sets us apart from others. On this website, you will find current information about our school, schedules, staff, classrooms, and events.

Our parents and community are an integral part of our school’s success. Parents and community members can be found in classrooms, engaged in meaningful contributions and experiencing the joy of shaping the lives of young people. We encourage you to get involved in any way possible. Our School Site Council (SSC), Parent Teacher Organization (SCEPTOR), or volunteering in classrooms are all opportunities for rewarding involvement.

I would like to sincerely thank you for all you do to support our school and look forward to working with all of you throughout the course of the school year.

We make a difference in the lives of our students, together.
