The ACUSD/ACOE Community Newsletter is a weekly communication from the Amador County Unified School District and Amador County Office of Education. The purpose of this newsletter is to keep our families, staff, and community members informed about our district!

District News & Announcements

Thanksgiving Break Next Week 🦃

There is no school on November 26-28. Our schools and offices will be closed in observance of the holiday.
We wish everyone a wonderful holiday!

Developmental Screenings

The Amador County Office of Education & First 5 Amador are offering free developmental screenings for 3- to 5-year-old children whose parents/guardians are residents of Amador County.

Date: Friday, December 12
Location: First 5 Amador - 975 Broadway, Jackson

Each child will be scheduled for a 30-minute screening visit. Please complete the Google Form to submit your interest, and a member of the ACOE team will follow up with you to schedule your child’s screening.

School Board Updates

The next School Board meeting will take place on Wednesday, December 10, at the Amador County Administration Center located at 810 Court St. Jackson, CA 95642. Open Session begins at 6:30 p.m.

Community Service Heroes

At the last board meeting, we recognized 16 students who have completed 135 or more hours of community service so far. Each of these students surpassed 135, 270, or 1000 hours.
Congratulations to these outstanding students who continue to go above and beyond for their community!

Jackson Junior High Staff Recognized

On November 12, six staff members from Jackson Junior High were awarded ACUSD Challenge Coins. Principal Sinead Klement recognized Heather Wren, Jennifer Anecito, Timothy Sullivan, Leah Pearl, Kirsten Higman, and Jasmine Clemons.
Thank you to these amazing staff members for their hard work and dedication to our students!
