The ACUSD/ACOE Community Newsletter is a weekly communication from the Amador County Unified School District and Amador County Office of Education. The purpose of this newsletter is to keep our families, staff, and community members informed about our district!

Intradistrict Transfer Window Closes Soon

The Intra-district transfer application period for the 2026-2027 school year is open through Friday, December 19, 2025. Please note there are strict timelines for accepting applications, and no application will be accepted after the deadline of December 19th.

Coffee & Connection - This Tuesday ☕

The Amador County Special Education Community Advisory Committee (CAC) invites you to the December Coffee & Connection gathering!

You're invited to join us and other parents/caregivers of children with exceptional needs. This is a time to connect, support, share, and grow together.

News From the Community

Sheriff's Toy Drive

The 2025 Sheriff's Toy Drive is now on!

If you would like to participate, please pick up an application from your school office or from the Amador County Sheriff's Office. All applications are due to the Amador County Sheriff's Office by December 19 at 4:00 pm.

The Toy Drive pickup will be on Saturday, December 20, from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm at St. Sava Mission in Jackson.

Angel Tree Pickup Location Change

The location for Angel Tree Distribution is being changed to The Call Church. 18400 Ridge Road, Pine Grove, CA 95665. This update is for families in Pine Grove, Pioneer, Volcano, Jackson, Sutter Creek, and Drytown.
The distribution date is December 18th from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m.

School Board Updates

The next School Board meeting will take place on January 14, 2026, at the Amador County Administration Center located at 810 Court St. Jackson, CA 95642. 

Please note the new meeting times:
ACOE Open Session will begin at 5:30 pm
ACUSD Open Session will begin at 7:00 pm
