Now Available - Consolidation Frequently Asked Questions

Dear ACUSD Families, Staff, Students, and Community,

As you may be aware, the ACUSD School Board and Staff are evaluating a new potential consolidation model. The new model, referred to as the 7-9/10-12 model, involves the following possible components:

• Conversion of Argonaut High School into a countywide junior high (grades 7–9)
• Conversion of Amador High School into a countywide high school (grades 10–12)
• Repurposing Jackson Junior High School to house the Adult Education Program and the Adult Transition Program (ages 18–22)
• Conversion of Ione Junior High School into the new Ione Elementary School through a three-year phased transition. This will ultimately close the current Ione Elementary campus

As we move forward, we recognize the need for our community to better understand this potential configuration. We have added Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to the School Consolidation Hub to help answer some common questions. You can find this information on our website. A PDF of these FAQs has also been attached to this message for your convenience.
